The Morseland presents the Morse Stage, at Morse and Greenview, where Saturday’s highlights include Deal’s Gone Bad and soulful hard rockers the Black Diamond Heavies, one of the few out-of-town bands at the fest (they also play an aftershow at Morseland); Sunday’s lineup features Elephant Gun and Ifficial Reggae.
A kickoff party Friday from 6 till 10 PM on the 6900 block of N. Glenwood features Devil in a Woodpile, belly-dancing troupe Read My Hips, and fire dancers Pyrotechniq. Throughout the fest the studios and galleries of the Glenwood Avenue Arts District will be open (a map is available on-site) and Rogers Park restaurants and bars will be selling food and drink. There will also be the usual street-fair arts-and-crafts booths, plus family entertainment that includes a KidFest Area and several of the bookings on the South Stage.
