No Anchor, Real Pain Supernova (self-released) These Australian dudes combine lumbering, sludgy doom and 90s indie rock into one searing, brutal album. To continue with the album title’s Oasis riffing, these guys are looking forward in anger.

Spotify I’m usually late to the game with stuff like this, but it’s nice to be able to hear full albums of just about anything without being a thieving a-hole or having to suffer through a band’s MySpace page to check out a couple songs.

We the People, “My Brother, the Man” This cut off the 1966 single is pure, bone-roastin’ material. Shitty garage rock done perfectly with the right elements of idiot and primate. Spark one up and get dumb.
