The folks at Insight Studios, a tattoo and piercing joint at 1026 N. Milwaukee, may like to stick pointy things into people (in the name of creative expression, of course!), but they’re committed to being nice to animals–they’ve organized a benefit blowout this weekend for Anti-Cruelty Society of Chicago. This Friday through Sunday, 100 percent of the shop’s profits will be donated to the organization, and there are two benefit concerts as well. Friday National Jet Set and Church Key play the Cobra Lounge (with a DJ set by Bob Jones of Insight), and a chunk of the bar’s take for the night will go to the pups and kits. And the Double Door is donating a portion of ticket sales and bar cash from Saturday’s show with the Electric Six, Alex Winston, Tight Phantomz, and Ramova. Both nights you can buy raffle tickets for a shot at prizes from Insight and the Twisted Scissors hair salon.
