• Goose Island

Your food future doesn’t begin and end with an impending Thanksgiving feast. There’s plenty of post-turkey eating (and drinking) to be done. For instance: Fork in Lincoln Square, the best farm-to-table restaurant you didn’t know was one, will be hosting a dinner for the Green City Market on Tuesday, December 2, featuring beers from Perennial Artisan Ales. The star attraction will be Peace Offering, an American brown ale with maple-roasted cushaw squash from Yellowtree Farm. Call 773-751-1500 for a reservation.

• Honey Butter Fried Chicken will turn Friday into Black Fryday! Which is not to say they’ll be burning the hell out of chicken, but rather, that they’ll be making French fries to go with the usual fried goodness, plus six different dipping sauces. As they said in their email, it’s “100 percent more delicious than getting trampled for an Xbox.”

• ZooLights is at Lincoln Park now, and one of the closest restaurants, Gemini Bistro, is offering a $35 prix fixe dinner ending with house-made cookies and hot chocolate to take with you as you stroll the zoo. Best of all: valet your car with Gemini for $10 and leave it there as you walk over to the zoo.
